Accommodations
5. *TRVL
TRVL is a really cool booking site that pays you a commission when you book accommodations on the site. Think about this win-win scenario: You need a place to stay on vacation. You are likely going to research and book the place yourself. Why not get paid a commission for the work you are going to do? Use TRVL to make your next hotel or vacation rental booking.
Airfare
6. Scott’s Cheap Flights
If you have not done so already, sign up to receive deals on airfare from Scott’s Cheap Flights. If your travel plans have some flexibility, using this resource can save you a good chunk of change on airfare.
Saving
7. *Qapital
Save money while you spend money. Sound like an oxymoron? Not with Qapital. Download the Qapital app today so you can start saving for your next adventure using fun, creative savings strategies. Some of my favorites are the round up rule (saves a little change every time you swipe your card), the 52 week rule (save $1, week 1, $2 week 2 ans so on for 52 weeks for a total of $1378 in a year. wow!), and the guilty pleasure rule (saves when you buy things you’re try to resist) . If you use this link, Qapital will send you $5 after you have completed your first deposit.
8. Your Bank
If you enjoy saving though the traditional savings account in a brick and mortar bank route, I have found that having multiple savings accounts is extremely helpful. Contact your bank to find out how to setup multiple savings accounts. Use the accounts like individual piggy banks for each of your savings goals. For example, if you wanted to take a trip to Fiji next year while saving for new furniture for your home, you would use one account for your Fiji goal amount and 1 account for your furniture goal amount. By creating savings accounts for individual saving goals, you will be able to track if you are remaining on target for hitting each goal by a specific date or if you are falling behind.
